Best friend just found out she has lymphoma. Won’t know stage, etc until Thursday. She has had an horrific year and this is just the icing on the cake.

Took the kids to a birthday party today - I did not touch the pizza or cake. I’m always amazed at how a workout can affect your mood. Usually my 2 sweet, innocent little angels get on my last nerve by the middle of the weekend. I was at the Y this afternoon gettin’ it on the treadmill when a huge storm blows in and the power goes out. Real hard to do HIIT when the treadmill has no juice. On a positive note I kept going when the power came back on.

I’m thinking that I need an event to train for to get back on track. To say that I want to be a size 12 seems like its not concrete enough, there’s no deadline. Maybe I need to set a deadline? I don’t know. Anywho, I’m contemplating registering for the Rock n Roll half in Savannah on November 5th this year. Four months should be enough time to train, right?
